AMANDA KNOX AND ME, and you....written a few years ago....

INNOCENT! NOT GUILTY!
OH! THE JOY!
Facing twenty years in prison,
her life returned to her.
What joy for her and and her family!!
It is hard to imagine.
Two little words - NOT GUILTY!
Now she can experience all the joys of
her NEW LIFE!
Every little experience of her life filled with
a new understanding of FREEDOM!
Amanda is not guilty as a matter of law.
After four agonizing years, her appeal was
accepted and her conviction overturned,
for now.
I am also not guilty.
As a result of a gift.
God decided that he would look at the blood of his Son
instead of my sin.
He would see the innocent purity of Jesus and would let
me share the same purity.
I have been given a NEW LIFE, too!
I have been given FREEDOM.
EVERY EXPERIENCE of my life should be filled
with a keen sense of GRATITUDE!
I owed a debt I could no pay.
He paid a debt he did not owe!
So now I need to be singing
AMAZING GRACE!!!!
And you can, TOO!
By believing in this grace, you can share
in the INNOCENCE that God wants to give you!

NOT DEAD YET! The Eulogy Continues
Somewhere in Heaven,
there is a little tiny welder,
an old hay baler,
and a bucket of parts.
Somewhere else in Heaven,
there is a physics lab, and a chemistry lab.
With the latest equipment, and the freshest reagents,
Somewhere in Heaven, there is a stack of the oldest newspapers,
All the Readers Digests, in order,
And a hundred dozen pairs of pliers.

ハイチ の 子供
「コレラ防止キット」が至急必要
コレラはその治療が比較的容易ではあるけれど、潜伏期間が短く、そのため、数時間で重度の脱水症や死に至る急性下痢を引き起こします。10月中旬、「ハイチの子供たちへの希望 (HFHC)」主催の三校がある地域でコレラが発生しました。HFHC校の児童 15人がコレラの症状を訴え、その後無事治療を受けています。10月22日と11月2日、HFHC職員がアルティボニット川流域を訪問し、汚染されていない数週間分の食糧とボトル入りミネラルウォーターを被災地に運びました。
当初これらのコレラの拡大は抑制されたと思われていましたが、ハリケーン・トーマスが大雨をもたらし、アルティボニット川が氾濫、事態はさらに深刻化しました。その後慢性下痢による死亡者数は643人、病院で治療を受けている人々は一万人弱に急増しています。
首都ポルトープランスでは、115件のコレラと初の死亡者が確認。難民キャンプで暮らす推定 130万人のハイチ人のほとんどが首都周辺でテント生活を強いられています。コレラの水系感染の場合、人々が料理や洗濯をする際食糧や援助物質を共用するため、不衛生な条件下では容易に流行が拡大する怖れがあるのです。
私たちHFHCチームは、コレラ様症状を訴える首都内での患者の数が増加していることを危惧しています。現在 私たちはポルトープランスでコレラ感染の怖れのあるHFHC支援の児童の家族に「コレラ防止キット」を提供すべく、準備を進めています。このキットには、石鹸、補水塩、「ヒーリングハンズ・インターナショナル」提供の微生物フィルター付き浄水バケツなどが入っています。
「パンアメリカン保健機構」は最近、1991年ペルーコレラ大流行をモデルに、ハイチの保健状況に関する厳しい評価を下しました。同機構は、ペルーでのデータに基づき、ハイチのコレラ流行がペルーと同様数年間続くと仮定した場合、最終的に27万件以上にのぼるだろうと推定しています。
